A very sad but important update …

A very sad but important update …

This one’s a toughy, so I wanted to write it properly.

When I started Wild One Jewellery back in 2020, sterling silver felt expensive… but manageable. Fast forward to now and silver prices have been climbing faster than I can keep pretending everything’s fine behind the scenes.

I’ve done my absolute best to absorb the increases, but the reality is: making handmade sterling silver jewellery costs a LOT more than it used to and that’s finally catching up with me.

Workshops … the hard part

One of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make is pressing pause on public jewellery workshops.

I love running workshops. Teaching, chatting, creating together, it’s been such a special part of Wild One. But with silver prices rising (and showing zero signs of calming down), workshops just aren’t sustainable right now.

The final workshop for the foreseeable future will be on 15th February.
If you’ve ever thought “I’ll book one someday”… this is that day.

I will still be offering private jewellery classes, but pricing will flex with the silver market, because honestly it’s changing almost daily at this point.

Website price changes (the inevitable bit)

Alongside this, there will be a price increase across the jewellery on my website from the start of next month.

I’ve put this off for as long as possible, but rising silver costs mean the price of making each piece has gone up and I can’t keep absorbing that without breaking the business (or myself).

Every piece is still made by hand, in eco sterling silver, with the same care, time and love, just with slightly shinier raw material invoices 🙃

The biggest thank you

If you’ve ever bought a piece, come to a workshop, shared my work, or supported Wild One in any way, thank you! Keeping a small, handmade jewellery brand going isn’t always easy and your support genuinely keeps it alive.

Change isn’t always comfy, but it’s necessary  and I’m excited for what’s next 🤍

Thank you for being here, always.

much love,
Caroline
